Sony's giving Valve a lot of give here, and they'd never get that from Microsoft. A lot of people who had used it in the past have dropped GFW in favor of either doing their own thing or jumping on Steamworks, because the alternatives are more robust and mature, and you don't need their permission to release simple patches and updates, or worse, DLC. Most developers would like to see it stay that way, but if you want to play with the Xbox, you have to play by Microsoft's rules. Windows is one of the few Microsoft products that's still a relatively open development environment. GFW is mostly a giant flop, and it's not attracting a lot of developer interest (Epic is using it for Bulletstorm though). It was done in Shadowrun, but that was a Microsoft Game Studios release and one of the original Games For Windows Live titles.

If Microsoft would allow Valve to use this implementation of Steamworks on the Xbox, I'm certain that they would, but they almost certainly have to use Xbox Live, which includes Microsoft certification for updates and patches too, another feature coming through the Steamworks pipes for the PS3 version.

The only way they're going to allow that kind of cross platform communication is if Valve uses Game For Windows Live, and they have their own platform on the PC with millions of users already, so don't expect them to jump ship to an alternative (and inferior) product any time soon. Why is it more logical? Microsoft are control freaks. Xbox 360 and PC cross platform seems more logical no? and it has been done before so they cant say its because its not possible But you can play online between the two, yes. Though I suppose they may let you link that to your cousin's account if you're allowed to play both simultaneously. You'll get a voucher when you link your PSN and Steam accounts.

In reply to If I buy a PS3 game I get PC steam version code free? I can give that code to my cousin, frd to download the game on PC and we can play online PS3-PC? Is this possible? :Oĭoubtful. I don't own a PS3 but I'd probably buy the PS3 version if I did-even though I'd probably never play it :P Sony is actually the more logical choice here, since there never was a real choice from the get go. Xbox 360 and PC cross platform seems more logical no? and it has been done before so they cant say its because its not possibleWhy is it more logical? Microsoft are control freaks. Note: Starting from a save file or using Challenge mode won't work. Why is it cross platform for PS3 and PC, but not the xbox 360 And from there, right before the moon shot, run the command script_execute mapspawn in the developer console. You can do this with the command map sp_a4_finale4. Though if you want to start from the very, very end, first get to the last boss fight and defeat Wheatley. The next time you'll start any level, it should put you at the end, with everything you need to "unsolve" it. If there's already a file with the same name there, just delete it.
Now put the file you just downloaded inside the Portal 2/portal2/scripts/vscripts folder.
You can do this by selecting Portal 2 in Steam, clicking on the settings icon, then Local Files and Browse. Then, find the folder with the Portal 2 game files.

To play Reverse mod yourself, first download this file. Tailored to both casual players and speedrunners. This is possibly the most satisfying experience I've ever made in Portal 2. I made a mod that lets you beat Portal 2 backwards, starting from the final boss, ending with the relaxation vault. Portal 2 Reverse mod Portal 2 Reverse mod
